Be PROACTIVE

Emails are typically a source of stress. The majority are the following: People who want me to take their personal pets off their hands, people who lost a pet, and people who allowed a cat to give birth and want me to take the kittens. I'm not sure which is the more distressing and depressing.

You all know how to prevent cats from giving birth. If you have strays/ferals and need it done for low-cost, call Carol at 957-2756. Through her relationship with us she has been able to get $$ to fund it. If you have a house pet, call C-SNIP!

This week has been a good week of being able to educate people on microchipping. After trapping someone's cat the owner learned that had the cat been taken to the animal shelter/humane society, it would be dead already. Microchipping is the only way to prevent your pet's needless death. So we microchipped that cat for her and she is bringing her other ones to us!! Another lost cat email came my way, and I was able to talk the individual into bringing her other cats to us, as well as some suggestions on getting Bear-Bear back.

Don't let this happen to you! Only 3% of lost cats are ever found!! Is your cat worth $20 to you?? If so, it's a no-brainer. We do microchipping Sundays from 9-noon and Fridays from 6-8pm.
