Sweet dreams, Mr. Woolie, YOU were LOVED!!

Old Mr. Woolie finally succumbed to age and FIV. His last years were probably his best. No more fights with tomcats after being "fixed", and plenty of shelter from the elements. He had the joys of a housecat in some ways, getting catnip to roll in and tuna fish for treats. He also had a lot of friends! Although an "outsider", coming from Holland, he was the leader of the ferals in that section of the park. He was never alone and was good pals with Sneezy, an orange cat, and Mama Woolie who came to the park with him. The other cats could often be seen rubbing up against him and winding their tails with his.

He mostly lived under Judy's trailer and he was her favorite. She called him her Hurly-Burly man because he was so much bigger than the rest. She was always distraught if she didn't see him for a day or two and felt bad that he had one crinkled ear. He may not have let her touch him, but she can tell you all about his personality and behavior, just the same as if he was her lap cat.

We look forward to cuddling with you in the afterlife, Mr. Woolie. Until then, enjoy perfect health and know that you are missed!!

Happy New Year!!

My first resolution is to find more time for blogging. I didn't have much internet access this summer and it fell by the wayside. Today I am going to get caught up on STUFF, which likely means I'll spend the day in my pj's. I already filed the organization's tax return for 2008 so the day is getting off to a good start. Cats need to be put on petfinder, pictures taken, and tummies are in need of rubbing!

We desperately need a home for Gizmo, aka Charlie. He was a campground stray and the sweetest kitty anyone could want. Here is a video of him!

He also loves staring at the fish. Another of his Christmas gifts was 2 more fish for the fish tank!
